As the Welsh dragons prepare to breathe fire against Argentina this Sunday at the Principality Stadium, head coach Steve Tandy has unveiled a lineup laced with Lions' prowess and promising talent. British and Irish Lions standouts, Jac Morgan and Tomos Williams, are back in the red jersey, starting at openside flanker and scrum-half respectively. Morgan not only returns but leads as captain in what marks the beginning of Tandy's tenure and Wales' Autumn Nations Series campaign.

The forward pack sees the return of Dafydd Jenkins and Adam Beard locking down the scrum, alongside Rhys Carré, who makes his comeback at loosehead prop. The dynamic Dewi Lake and Keiron Assiratti complete the front row. Flankers Alex Mann and Aaron Wainwright round out the back-row, setting the stage for a robust forward battle.

In the backs, Dan Edwards secures the fly-half spot, flanked by centers Ben Thomas and Max Llewellyn. The wings are filled by Josh Adams and Tom Rogers, with Blair Murray at full-back. However, Louis Rees-Zammit will start from the bench, eyeing an impactful return to international rugby.

"It’s a real privilege to announce my first matchday 23 for Wales. I just want to see that 23 really go out there and express themselves on Sunday and enjoy every moment of representing the country in such a unique and special jersey,"

Tandy expressed, highlighting the significance of the match for both him and the team.

Among the reserves, Olly Cracknell is poised to make his international debut, a testament to his resilience and professionalism.

"Olly’s impressed us since he came into camp, but I’ve known Olly a long time. He’s an unbelievable professional and you see Olly’s had to have resilience throughout his career,"

said Tandy, acknowledging Cracknell's journey through the ranks and his readiness to step up on the international stage.

As the anticipation builds towards Sunday’s clash, the Welsh team looks ready to kick off the Steve Tandy era with a statement performance against a formidable Argentine squad.
