But for that hashed up line out over throw landing Ireland that easy opening try and their scrum letting them down at times the game could have been theirs

Must of been watching a different match. Scotland defended very well and bravely but didn't offer much in the way of a attack. Despite not playing particularly well Ireland got well on top in the 2nd half and created several scoring opportunities but couldn't covert. Had a try disallowed and missed penalty. Dominated nearly all of the stats as well.

Yeah I definitely saw it differently - Ireland offered very little on attack, looked pretty lost - Scotland looked better trying to construct some form of attack albeit not that successfully but that’s not my point

Ireland’s scrum dominated which clipped the Scottish momentum. The Irish disallowed try was certainly no try and that gift try was the difference

Ireland seem to have lost the sense of dominance they have been building. Sides are working them out

Ireland's attack wasn't great, hard to say if it was just Ireland's attack was just not clicking or how much that was down to Scotland's defense, probably a bit of both but I can barely recall any Scottish attack to even compare it against.

Scrums are apart of the game of rugby so you can't just exclude the scrum to make the opposition look better.

As for the try I've seen them given. Frustratingly there was one camera angle that clearly showed no separation before the grounded but it was only shown once during the replays and less conclusive angles where shown multiple time but that's rugby for you some time. Guess you could possibly argue there was no downward pressure.

Maybe other teams are starting to work Ireland out. Hard to tell in two games. I've no qualms in saying England where the better team last week and deserved to win, but in my view Ireland where comfortably the better team yesterday and deserved winners.

The Scotts ball in hand stuff and handling was next level, yet errors in that same handling killed a feww good moves...I'm glad Scotland stood toe to toe with Ireland and almost came away with a win...nit many teams around these days who can achieve these kinda results in Irelab

Strav agreed re the scrums I’m saying Ireland were good in this department and with it they killed off the Scottish momentum

Not really, Scotts made a lot of handling errors and poor passing. Tried to play to much from their own half. It was one moment of brilliance from Jones. Ireland has gone off the boil and no Sexton. I don't think that they have been playing really well. That said, the games with England have been entertaining

Yes really as they tried to construct attacks that might not have been successful but at least they looked the part - Ireland did not

Scotland looked better on the day but for the scrums and conceding that ridiculously soft try
