Jake has eventually woken up to Moodie at 13 not wasted on the wing

I was looking forward to a 4am    WP  v  Edinburgh  clash but I've since discovered that the Scots are resting 5 internationals, including vdMerwe.

I miss Superugby .............. URC's so comme ci, comme sa.

Yeah...why have the best Bok 13 playing on the wing?

Makes no sense.

Better late then never….I think moodie is a excellent player but the best 13 when he hasn’t proven his steel in that position yet?….AM is a tough act to follow + don’t forget Henco van Wyk….Moodie is Right up there though and I am sure Jessica will also be involved.

Good to see Moodie is retained at 13 against Leinster tomorrow and good to see the impressive David Kriel at 12

Yeah, M.

I'm well aware that my call on Moodie is very, perhaps irresponsibly, early. I'm long Moodie on 33x leverage haha

That high take against Oz that he ran in for a score. The offload to Willemse in the Ab game and that gliding non-try that he made from nothing. I believe those are all just glimpses of what's to come from him.

Similar to Arendse, he looks like he just has that vision that comes naturally and can't be taught.

Am is a well drilled player, reliable and with slick hands. I don't have anything bad to say about him and feel sorry as hell for him that he had to suffer DDA on his inside for most of his Bok career.

But Moodie is a phenomenon.

I think the only reason he's not standing out as much is because somehow the stars have aligned and we have 2 other total backline superstars that have come to the fore in Willemse and Arendse.

So yeah, I rate Moodie ahead of Am.

I guess I prefer to speculate rather than repeat tried and tested wisdom.

I seriously hope that Willemse is the new skipper because I know(or really really hope) that'll be the end of DDA in green and gold.

Pollard, AE, Moodie, Arendse, Kolbe, Willemse. Damn!!!

We have fantastic options in almost every backline position . . . Faf or Williams at #9, Pollard or Libbok at #10, Am or Moodie at #13 and any number of world class outside backs.

The glaring exception is #12. Andre Esterhuizen is not that young anymore and he's a marginal improvement on DDA with a very similar skill set. I say it's time to bite the bullet and make Damian Willemse our #12 and hope Ethan Hooker grows into the role so Damian (edit:Willemse!!!) can return to his optimal position at fullback.

Agree Blob. I still watch Super Rugby (Pacifika) and wish we were still a part of it.

I’m very much liking David Kriel at 12 for the Bulls but would love to see a 12 Willemse 13 Moodie combo with Fassi at 15
