For some weird mental connection Kolisi reminds me of Bluto:

Well if van Staden is the best we have after Kwagga and Kolisi, they better wrap him in whool....I really don't get the negativity towards him...he's more than just done the job for the last 6 years...but another RWC as first choice captain and 6 might be a bridge too far.
Agreed Draad it smacks of utter rugby ignorance
It’s beyond me
Our captain should never be playing overseas. Its a kak look.
van Rensburg moved to France in 2016 .............................. contributing sweet v'kall to SA rugby,
one of our talented homeboys should've been selected.
Agree we should select local players, BUT not 17 million for a cheerleader. We need to find a decent 6 and fast. WP have Brannes, the 38 year old half hooker half flanker still on their books.
That money could be spend getting at least 2 decent open siders.
He should live with his decision, it is not like he is being paid poorly. Just getting fair and just comments from an owner that expects a lot
So the sharks do not want to pay the 17million Transfer Fee upfront, but rather pay it off in instalments over the next 3 seasons.
Jacky Lorenzetti is saying no, as Racing 92 had to pay the whole amount upfront to the Sharks, they now also want the whole amount upfront.
So it looks like a stalemate…wonder if they will force Kollisi to finish his 3 year contract?
It seems unlikely, because Lorenzetti was the one that started the trouble by voicing his unhappiness with Kollisi?
Sharks made a killing by dumping him in France.
Good for them
Cannot believe that the F
rench team paid so much for him, rotten business plan by the Frogs.Perhaps he can learn the French National Anthem and become the voice of the French national side.
Doubt it though!
Ja, I agree he shouldn't get special treatment to get out of his contract...he should have forfeited the captaincy when he chose to play abroad.
They want rid of Kolisi, that much is clear. They are just negotiating now to see how much they can reduce the loss they made on him.
If Kolisi himself offers to see out the remainder of his contract, they will offload him quickly -and the Sharks could get a good deal.
They know Kolisi wants to leave, but he turns the table on them - they will offload him.
Remember the Johan Goosen Saga? Same club too. Goosen suddenly retired to get out of his contract at racing and a year later showed up at Montpellier. Kolisi probably realised that Paris is a shit hole. With so many illegal immigrants and muslin taking over. The metro is disgusting and what ever French person is around is extremely snobbish.
Not getting the warm and protected environment that he is so so use being at home and a protected privilege black all his career.
Goosen hated playing in Paris. Racing is owned by rich people with no real history. They buy all there players, pretty much like the sharks and would have felt right at home.
No thanks Kolisi. You can cash in on your pension, you were carried through 6 years of rugby and players around you. Not to mention how Rassie sacrificed his career making that video to protect Kolisi. He is not a hero. It is the political climate that force the springboks to select a sub par player. We have so many talented black players that select themselves that we don’t need him. Time to let the real hero’s stand up and get the credit.
Duanne was always the captain and led from the front. Just token here that thinks he is bigger than the game.
"Just token here that thinks he is bigger than the game. "
Nonsense...he is hyped by the media and politicians, but he is still a quiet humble man and a very good player...I'm sure he's not expecting to get bailed ouf his contract... SA Rugby is eager to do it because the don't like the Bok Captain plaing abroad...but that's not his doing.
Agree

Racing owner want to be paid in full for Kolisi exit if he returns to the sharks. Don't forget, they had to pay the Saarks to get him and on top of that had to fork a huge amount of money.
They paid 720k (R17million )Euros on getting Kolisi. He played 18 games and hardly made an impact.
At 33, is he even worth all that money other than selling a few Saarks shirt and probably the most overpaid cheerleader ever.
