Not sure if you guys have been watching, but how intense is the Aotearoa? competition?
The guys are going all out. It's like a slug fest.

Hope our boertjies and co can match that intensity.

Anybody been to watch any of the games? Brycy? Cloudy?

hey chip

ever been to a kiwi derby?

its something to behold mate.

its as intense as rugby in SA but way more spectator involvement simply because you're so closee to the action.

...some good games on the w/e also some new rules introduced now mirroring the NRLwith the golden point ....so drop goals will now decide close games - not sure if thats a good thing as traditionally drop kicks have been booed in NZ - drop goals value drop to one point next im picking...

also more penalties as they are policing the breakdowns more pedantically...

Blues picking up Bogan Barret and DanCarter is adding plenty of interest also making them look more dangerous than previous years...anyones tournament atm and giving the AB selectors much to think about

Some great match ups in key positions  - for example Aaron Smith retains the upperhand with the great performance and win in the AB halfback battle with Brad Weber after the weekend..the Landers would'nt be the same without the little general barking at the back of the pack driving them forward - such a great competitor

Could see a Cruden vs Carter arm wrestle in the Battle of the Bombays this weekend...that's what i enjoy is some of the individual /strategic battles....

...also looking forward to seeing the Crustifarians shaking off the rust vs the Canes....watching their backline the likes of Jordan, Reece, Ennor, Bridge and Mataele throwing the ball around always a treat...not a fan of some of the forwards orientated games in the Northern hemisphere - gotta be expansive rugby or nothing at all..
