I’m in Barcelona without any feed, my regular streaming doesn’t work in Spain. Dinner isn’t till 9.00 o clock, so I’m at a loose end….keep the comments flowing….go Zulu!

Aug 31, 2024, 16:10

Fassi Yellow AB attack but boks defence stands for now

Aug 31, 2024, 16:11

All blacks score of a mall

Aug 31, 2024, 16:12

Boks looking shell shocked not good from us

Aug 31, 2024, 16:21

Boks hit back Bongi yes!!

Aug 31, 2024, 16:29

Bongi dropped the ball before the line, lucky to get the try awarded.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:32

Wiese wins turnover penalty.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:33

Long range penalty by Sacha

Aug 31, 2024, 16:35

The best passer in the team throws another corker into no man's land

Aug 31, 2024, 16:37

Try NZ  Two Bok rushes bamboozled by NZ, first Kriel thrn Kolbe. Terrible.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:39

Forward off Kriel, otherwise Boks were in.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:40

Penaltu Boks  11-12

Aug 31, 2024, 16:40

This Bok Team seems to be treading water not good

Aug 31, 2024, 16:41

DdA wins penalty at the tackle

Aug 31, 2024, 16:48

Why is BJ Dixon off??

Aug 31, 2024, 16:49

Weird feeling to the game. Strange decisions by the officials, lots of errors by both sides.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:51

Boks looking the better team by a nose, lucky to get the try but overall looking more threatening.

I take that score into the half, was expecting us to be down by at least 7 at this stage if the game.

Come on ABs we can snatch this with a little bit of luck and strong D

Aug 31, 2024, 16:51

Sacha is playing well but yes the game is not really flowing.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:55

Mozart go to youtube  therugbyguru live commentary screen

Aug 31, 2024, 16:56

Damian's filling in for Dixon.

Aug 31, 2024, 16:58

When Delande passes, is he intending for his outside runner to catch the ball

Aug 31, 2024, 16:58

Not bad from the Boks. A bit rag tag though.

SFM is the real deal. One doesn't need to see much more of him to conclude that. Crazy to think how young he is. In 4 years time he'll be only just entering his prime...damn!

NZ looked to be fading at the end of the half.

Fassi also having a good game.

The bomb squad should put things in the Bok advantage and give SFM a bit more time to make something happen.

Williams needs to come on ASAP too. This isn't a Reinach type game.

Oh, DDA got two turnovers...but who on earth was he throwing that no-look pass to?

Aug 31, 2024, 16:59

Thought the Boks started to get on top in the last 10 minutes of the half. Scrum started to get on top.

Our handling has cost us. Then Bongi missing his lineouts when we were 5m out

Pity Zulu drop missed the posts.

Bring on Marx soon.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:00

Thanks Blob….I’ve found that, speaking an odd language.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:01

How's Barcelona Moz.

Please tell me you're making the trip to Figueres to see the Dali museum?

Aug 31, 2024, 17:01

Is Dixon injured? Hope Dixon comes back on with elrigh….come on Boks!!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:02

Ha ha odd language:)

Aug 31, 2024, 17:02

Jordie intercepts DDA pass, try. 11-19

Aug 31, 2024, 17:03

Actually, Delande is passing to the All Blacks. Jordie Barret read him like a comic book

Aug 31, 2024, 17:04

Lol, Kolbe putting Scott Barrett on his ass.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:05

Bombs on.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:06

Delande likes nothing more than running from a standard standard into traffic

Aug 31, 2024, 17:07

14-19

Aug 31, 2024, 17:09

14-22

Aug 31, 2024, 17:10

Arendse might be concussed. Pollard on.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:10

Spent quite a bit of time at the Madrid museums, saw Guernica….planning Monday in the Barcelona art scene. Also saw the cathedral and palace in Seville. And the incredible Alhambra in Granada.

I haven’t spent much time in Spain before Plum…exciting country.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:11

Well I am going to stop following this thread as your a couple of minutes ahead of me

Aug 31, 2024, 17:13

Sounds like Kwagga is coming on….could be a good move.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:15

17-22.

Yeah always a problem for me too when I'm watching a feed Sader. Tv today for me.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:18

Easy backline try NZ off the lineout setpiece. 17-27

Aug 31, 2024, 17:18

Sounds like a try from structured play?

Aug 31, 2024, 17:20

Lineout didn't quite work like NZ wanted Moz but the hiccup ended up working in their favour.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:21

This is not the number 1 team in the world and best coach in the world….man we have work to do!!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:25

Bad knock by Williams with the Boks on attack.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:27

Great counter Fassi

Aug 31, 2024, 17:28

Dare I believe?

Even if we lose from here I am pretty happy with our performance.

Go ABs we can do this

Aug 31, 2024, 17:30

I've spent the whole of last week warning of Springbok complacency. Work colleagues, friends and family . . . none of them will hear of us losing, but if history has taught me one thing, never underestimate die manne met die swart truie.

All Blacks leading by 10 with less than 20 to go as I type, but I think we've been complacent . . .  again!

Come on Bokke!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:32

Boks still giving away a lot of advantage by thw inability to be competitive under high balls kicked on the wings.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:32

Crucial steal Kwagga.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:32

Really nerve wracking listening vs watching….reminds me of the 60s! Tien tree stippel lyn…haha!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:33

Great run fassi but he may have butchered the try by kicking. Kwagga again doing god's work out there for the Boks.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:34

Sounds like Fassi is our best attacking threat today.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:34

One more try should see us home, come on boys

Aug 31, 2024, 17:36

Yellow for NZ.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:37

Yellow for Tuingafasi. Is there still hope?

Aug 31, 2024, 17:37

Kwagga scores

Aug 31, 2024, 17:38

Yessss!

Kwagga!!!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:38

3 point game . . .

Aug 31, 2024, 17:39

At last the yellow. Cheating abs repeatedly infringing when we are threatening their line.

Our own problems have been poor handling. Missing our lineouts  and giving away an intercept try.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:39

We are fucked now unfortunately

Aug 31, 2024, 17:44

Yessssss!

Williams wins it!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:44

Need that try now more than ever

Aug 31, 2024, 17:44

Williams scores. The maul is winning it for the Boks.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:45

Bok dominance pays off as Williams scores.

Who is the first side?

Aug 31, 2024, 17:47

Sacha misses a sitter! Oh dear . . .

Aug 31, 2024, 17:49

Beauden kicks away NZ's last chance.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:49

Forward power taking over, man are we fortunate…

Aug 31, 2024, 17:49

Well done Bokke!!!

Whew!

Aug 31, 2024, 17:51

Dispute all the errors Boks looked the more powerful side.

Great will to win.

Pity Zulu missed that sitter.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:51

NZ had no answer for the maul. That got them the yellow and got us two tries.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:51

The AB getting into that arm wrestle with Bok forwards….not wise….

Aug 31, 2024, 17:53

Sounds like getting Kolisi off and bringing Kwagga on changed the game.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:54

Nice one Bokke.

Very mature at the end.

Unlucky Kiwis.

I take it that everybody is on the SFM hype train right now!?

The kid really is special.

PSDT is MOTM!?

Aug 31, 2024, 17:56

Overall pretty happy with that did better than expected.

Competed for 70 minutes. Onwards and upwards from here.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:57

We are definitely still predominantly a forward oriented team…it keeps on working somehow….just upsetting that we can’t use our dangerous runners more….well done Bok Forwards.

Aug 31, 2024, 17:58

Sacha is going to be a legend. He did miss a very easy clutch kick at the end which might have cost us . . . but the thrust and energy he brings to a backline can't be measured with the usual statistics. If SFM doesn't tick all your boxes then you're a hard taskmaster.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:03

Rooi...

That bit of table tennis towards the end, he single-handedly took it away from the ABs in that exchange. The confidence to be outside your 22 and kick it straight down the line...

Mackenzie will be having nightmares about that little back and forth for a while.

And the touch finder to set up the try.

Absolute beast.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:08

Zulu is very good. Fassi also did well.

Kriel was great on the wing.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:10

Yes he does bring the energy to the Backline, but it stops by him and all that positive dies with DDA and Jessica….make no mistake DA is strong and can effect turnovers like a loose forward, but finding gaps to offload will never be something that he can do ….Jessica is good at rush defence and good with ball in hand when opposition allows space….but otherwise not a playmaker like Am….we need AE and Moodie in that midfield to Compliment SFM brilliant work. Fassi was good to, but does not get the ball enough….forward play and Counter play is our forte ..we can be so much more, though!!

Aug 31, 2024, 18:13

Blobbie if you find the full game recording, pls put it on here.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:16

Norje and Worse deserve a mention.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:19

Who is Worse? Did Dixon get injured or was he just taken off and why??

Aug 31, 2024, 18:20

Kriel is our best 13. Am a possibility at 12. Allende had a strong game. People knocking him are Mamparas. Moodie is a player to consider. Put him in for Arendse.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:20

Bokke !
Mpower, I live to give.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:21

Aug 31, 2024, 18:23

Bull shit he is our best 13!! Get your head read…. Kriel is good in defence and DDA in being a extra loose forward…that’s all they have….they excel with a Stampkar gameplan.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:24

Boks non try the difference, bit of luck and we would have pinched it.

Roll on round two

Aug 31, 2024, 18:24

Giving away a yellow, when a maul try is inevitable is a real killer.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:29

NZ were their own worst enemy. Those incessant little stab kicks over the top, especially in the last few minutes when they needed to control possession. 10 points up but they had no one who could control the game for them. DMac is not the cool head you need then.

Aug 31, 2024, 18:56

Congrats to the Boks. The ABs are improving, the game could have gone either way and we showed we can compete and even do well in the forward battle. Next week should be another good game.

Aug 31, 2024, 19:38

I actually felt like the All Blacks had the upper hand for most of the game. The Boks struggled to put the ball down the backline to get the wings into the game, without relying on chip kicks or grubbers into space.

Delande is a dead man walking....

Sasha Fienberg is arguably the most important person on the team sheet announcement.
It is nice to have an allrounder at 10 that can mix and match based on the game.
He looks more like an All Black flyhalf, than a Bok one (If you exclude Andrew Mehrtens).

In the third quarter I though the Boks were not going to be able to mount a comeback, but Fienberg kept the pressure on running back at them.

Aug 31, 2024, 20:36

Just has to ensure that he converts kicks in front of the posts and perfects the drop kick would be great as well.

But must admit that he is a great addition at #10 for the Boks.

South Africa vs New Zealand 2024/08/31

Aug 31, 2024, 21:01

Thanks Blob, bloody good video quality :)

Aug 31, 2024, 21:45

Watching it again that Bongi try looks very much forward….should not have been a try.

The All Blacks Dominated that game from the beginning and actually hard to believe they lost that one to be honest…also agree with D Mac not controlling that lead well..Compared to a Mounga or a Dan Carter.

Credit to the Boks for hanging in there and pulling it thru….on more than one occasion it’s clear that the good work of SFM is absolutely butchered by Dud and also Robot Jessica.

We will never I mean never have any kind of progress in the Backline with our present midfield…the AB with there slick passes, attacking lines they run, is just so much more fluid.

Honestly Rassie needs to make those hard calls and try a new midfield for a extended time, as soon as Fucking possible! What a bloody waste/ Disgrace of our dangerous Runners .

Sep 01, 2024, 07:28

The factsi whaat is written aboveis argely BS.   Let me expain the Sprin gb oks scored ONE Maul try - and tw from lose play.   The moment the ball carie leaves the maul - he maul ended.  It happened in the case of the Mbonambi try and in the case of the Williams try =- much more obvious iro the Williams try though.

In the abcklne there were some por passes made = the one by De Allende let to an intercpt try being scored.   Tere were two other tries given away by poor defense.  In the case of De Allend he compnen sated or his one mistake on the day by making two turnover possession turnmovers for te Springboks at breakdowns - whcih is totaslly ignored by the site commentators. on of the turnovers resuted ultimately to the Williams try.

The fact is that what we go is a victory and winning of the Rugby Championship this year.

*    The Spinboks will beat Argentina in the upcomng tests and is likely to beat the AB's in the second test anyway.   Even if they lose the latter  - they would stil end up with potentially 22 points at the minimum;.

*     The AB's potentially could get ar most 15 pints from their remaining tests putting them at 20 points.  from their remining 3 tests.

Both those tries were a direct result of the maul disintegrating the defensive structures ou Maaik, even if they weren't technically maul tries.

making two turnover possession turnmovers for te Springboks at breakdowns - whcih is totaslly ignored by the site commentators.

It's actually been mentioned a few times now. I would have mentioned the first one in the live comments but I had trouble guessing my password to log in on the phone since I'm usually on PC, so wasn't able to comment on the first part of the game.

on of the turnovers resuted ultimately to the Williams try.

The two turnovers were in the first half, Williams scored at the death. But will check it out.

Sep 01, 2024, 08:55

The Bongi score was never a try.

These guys have all the tech and still get these decisions wrong.

When they make errors with basic calls like that it brings all their adjudicating into question. If that was given to the opposition I'd be complaining like mad. I'm sure the Kiwis must be pissed.

It turns out it was a no score that saved DDA from costing us the game.

You look at the skill level of the other backs and DDA sticks out like sore thumb. The rest all look like they can think, make decisions and execute...at pace. DDA looks lethargic, voltage deficient, zero explosiveness and like the best way to make the backs look dangerous is to cut him out of moves.

And it does have to be that way. We have so many players that could be there instead. It's actually a real shame.

I agree that shouldn't have been a try, but weve been on the receiving end of so many match deciding poor calls, I don't mind that much.

Sep 01, 2024, 13:10

Shocking that the match TV ref did not call it.

It is missed calls like this case that is bad for the game and just a prime example of poor oversight by officials assigned to monitor the game.

If this was an AB's try everyone on this site would be posting their comments and castigating the officials but because it was a Springbok try most are prepared to accept the try.

Very Sporting indeed.

Exactly right.

Razzie would have been behaving as a 2 year old.
