Had to gloss over Nienabaar latest vomit of an interview. Especially when you start noticing the same pattern.
The guys put 100% into training.
They were were very brave in how they played with 14 men, cough, France had 14 men too. Thanks to dumb over rated Fourie we were down to 13.
Yet, it is always the same words being spouted.
Where did we here this, oh Coetzee and Brendan Venter use to say the exactly the same thing. The only difference is that at least we lost within 7, but don't forget that under Rassie and Nienabaar we are always 2 tries down after 20 min. Wonder why, oh, the quota selections on the field.
So, here we are again, a year out form the WC, but this time there is no new coach coming in trying to rescue the boks.
Had this been any other year, we probably would have fired the coaches, but wait, it is Rassie, the saviour for Rugby, the most astute coach. Oh, yes, then his stupid video moaning on twitter. Getting banned etc.
Not to mention the poor team selections and so called player roadmaps and training camps are a joke.
When this coaching due came in, the boks had nothing to lose, they went through a bunch of players like toilet paper and eventually settled on players that can win us the World Cup. It worked and we are only World Champions in name, but definitely not number 1 and never should have held on to that status for so long had it not been for covid.
What has changed, players like Kolisi, Kwagga and Mostert will be there now until a new coach arrive.
Most players know that they will be at the World Cup so all they need to do now is simply not get injured.
To me that is the difference, the matches this year should have been to test players out, give them a fair chance and keeping those who won the World Cup on their toes.
I don't think that the actually dropped a single player for bad form. Only the new guys that get the brunt.
Maybe Gelant, but he was always on the fringes, but I can't see them doing that to any other players really.
Just hope they pull this off or it will be a very short World Cup for all of us
