there's a G1 race for 2yr olds called the Magic Millions run in Brisbane in about two and a half weeks time. Final acceptances, weight and the draw is still to be made. The Adrian Bott/ Gai Waterhouse training combo have two exceptional horses entered named Straight Charge and Storm Boy. Adrian Bott says he can't separate them and he'd only know the better one after the race...bit of a sidestep methinks Hahaha. His straight talking legend co trainer Mrs Waterhouse is allover Straight Charge. Thank you kindly, saw him win past Saturday, after a difficult and wide run he cruised to a 3.5 length win which she said he would. I'll have that, back Straight Charge who is currently at $3.5/1

Rooi if he doesn't win I'll refund you for a bet under R100 hahaha Both horses are brilliant enough to go on and win the richest 2yr old race in the world called the Golden Slipper which is run in Sydney round about February.

GL and happy punting....big Den playing big Santa hahahaha

Danny Thanks

I assume that Magic Millions is in another rac than the two you mentioned.

I spoke this morning with Kerry Roberts and she said her family - the Loyds ans Chaatfields are doing well and that Rya Roberts is no based in  Newcastle and is a =n agent geting rides for jockeys.

She told nme that Mike de Kock's son has training stables in Melbourne.   How is the stable doing?

May you and yours have a wonderful 2024.

Thanks for the heads up Dense. I'm always skeptical when it comes to 2 year olds. I've seen too many that didn't train on.

I'll only throw money at a 3 year old or older and right now South Africa has the best crop of 3 years olds in decades. The Cape Guineas, SA Classic and Daily News 2000 are all still to come but the likes of Sandringham Summit, Main Defender, Purple Pitcher and Hluhluwe make them the most anticipated 3 year old races I can remember for a long time. I'm with Sandringham Summit. He could be the next superstar of the SA turf.

I hear you but when the legendary Gai Waterhouse speaks the racing world listens and rightly so because amongst several other G1's she's won the Golden Slipper(2yr old G1) a record seven times. I'm having a healthy bet on Straight Forward but that's not saying her other entry Storm Boy can't win.

Cheers

Update

The Gai Waterhouse Storm Boy has drawn perfect gate 1 and has firmed in the betting to $2.40

Not sure why Straight Charge was scratched perhaps he's being saved for a different 2yr G1 race.

Storm Boy is a front runner so it will be catch me if you can tactics and on a wet track that's a huge advantage. I'm not betting those odds even though I still believe he'll win.
