That womens 4x400 relay was just plain incredible.
Arguably the greatest athletics games of all time sandwiched between Femke Bol falling on the second last stride on the opening day and costing the Netherlands a medal in the mixed 4x400 relay and Femke Bol producing the most exciting, sustained and dramatic finish to win the Netherland the final gold in the womens 4x400.
And in between that we saw the worlds greatest ever pole vaulter, the worlds greatest ever 1500m runner, Noah Lyles taking three gold medals in the mens sprint events, Sharika Jackson coming closer than anyone has ever come to breaking the world's most long-standing and elusive world record, three different field events that saw the lead change in the final round and brilliant performances in just about every other event.
The most amazing and memorable athletics games I can remember.

Agreed….provided the French air traffic controllers and taxi drivers don’t strike, it should be a great Olympic Games.
