I have noted that in the last two tournaments Thiem played in  he showed a return to the tennis. He played Rublev who beat him in the quarterfinal two weeks ago - but in a more difficult game than expected - and Hurkacz lost against him in 3 sets - the last one ending in a tie-breaker   Thiem could make some progress in this tournament as well.
