Welcome to our Daily Transfer Round Up. Let’s take a brief look at some of the more notable moments of the day when it comes to transfers.

Liverpool confirm Mac Allister signing and schedule Kone and Thuram talks

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The transfer fee remains officially undisclosed, though reliable journalists all claim the same – £35 million, which seems shockingly cheap given that initial reports valued the player at twice the amount.

Be that as it may, the 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Reds and should represent the first step in a long-overdue midfield reconstruction, with new talks with the agents of Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone and Nice’s Kephren Thuram reportedly already scheduled.

Arsenal lead Declan Rice race

According to reports, the race for the services of West Ham captain Declan Rice is heating up, and as things stand at the moment, Arsenal lead ahead of Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Arsenal were keen to add a central/defensive midfielder towards the end of last summer and failed in an attempt to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa on Deadline Day. With Granit Xhaka now set to leave, their ranks in that department will get even thinner unless significant additions are made.

Rice is a high-quality player of exactly the right mould, and his potential arrival should raise the quality of the Arsenal squad significantly. The only issues are, of course, the price and the competition. As for the price, the Gunners are apparently preparing a package worth up to £92 million to offer to West Ham, following the Hammers’ triumph in the Europa Conference League.

Spurs and United reluctant to pay David Raya asking price

With Hugo Lloris set to leave Tottenham Hotspur and the future of David De Gea at Manchester United uncertain, both clubs are interested in signing David Raya from Brentford, but according to Sky Sports, they both find Brentford’s asking price of £40m too steep.

Raya has been on fine form for the Bees for a long time and there’s no real doubts about his quality. He stood between the posts for every minute of the entire Premier League campaign in 2022/23, but with his contract entering its final year, Spurs and United may have a point regarding his market value this summer.

It remains to be seen of Brentford agree to lower their demands to avoid the risk of losing the 27-year-old for nothing in 2024.

Hazard on verge of retirement?

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Eden Hazard is close to a decision to hang his boots up and stop playing professional football altogether, following the agreement for his contract at Real Madrid to be terminated a year early.

The Belgian was electric during his seven-year spell at Chelsea, playing a major role as the Blues won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and two Europa League trophies, and he was their Player of the Year in 2014/15 when they won the title under Jose Mourinho. But following his €120m move to Real in 2019, injuries and the rise of Vinicius Junior prevented him from making a similar impact in the Spanish capital.

Now, at the age of just 32, it seems he’s ready to step down from the football stage, having already retired from the Belgian national team after the World Cup last year with 126 caps.

Bellingham completes Real medical

Several sources have reported that Jude Bellingham has completed the medical ahead of his move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid.

The fee the Spanish giants will reportedly be paying for the services of the 19-year-old England midfielder is set at €103m, with possible add-ons of €28m to come on top of that.

The official confirmation of the deal should arrive in the next few days.
