Bayern Munich are reportedly considering whether to make a move to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City.

The 33-year-old defender appears likely to leave the Etihad this summer, and with Benjamin Pavard on his way out too, Bayern will need an experienced defender to patch up the right side of their defence.

There has been no contact between the parties as of yet; it’s all in the planning stages for the time being.

Before the 2022/23 season started, few will have believed Union Berlin capable of finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League. That, however, is what has come to pass and at the Bundesliga club, they feel they need proper high-quality additions to their ranks this summer.

One of the names in their shopping list is reportedly Inter Milan left-back Robin Gosens, though it remains to be seen if they can convince the 28-year-old to leave the Nerrazzurri.

Chelsea set to trigger Nicolas Jackson clause

Chelsea have decided to activate the buyout clause in the contract between Villarreal and Nicolas Jackson, according to Fabrizio Romano. To do that, the Blues will have to part with a sum of €35 million.

With Mauricio Pochettino now in charge of the team, Chelsea reportedly want a new designated striker, which is the ideally suited role for the 21-year-old Senegalese attacker. Having been promoted to the first-team ranks at Villarreal only last summer, Jackson has scored 13 goals and produced five assists in all competitions in 2022/23.

Chelsea are expected to move to close the deal quickly, with several other Premier League clubs reportedly monitoring the situation with a view of a potential swoop. The contract he is expected to sign at Stamford Bridge should be for more than five years.
