West Ham United have reportedly rejected an official offer from Arsenal for the services of Declan Rice. Apparently the offer the Gunners sent stood at £80 million guaranteed, with add-ons potentially rising up to £10 million on top of that, while the Hammers value their captain at more than £100 million.

The 24-year-old midfielder is on the wish lists of a number of top clubs, including the likes of Bayer Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, but Arsenal are still believed to be leading that race with Rice himself very much interested in moving to the Emirates.

Mason Mount is believed to be keen to leave Chelsea and join Manchester United this summer. The Red Devils are interested in acquiring the services of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder, and the Blues, who need to trim their squad, should be open to a sale for the right price, with no more than a year remaining on Mount’s contract.

Nonetheless, the £40 million United are believed to have offered for Mount were rejected rather quickly. But the 20-time English champions are expected back with a fresh proposal soon.

Apart from the midfield section, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants his attacking ranks stronger that they were in 2022/23 as well, and to that end, he wants Chelsea’s Kai Havertz at the Emirates this summer. His employers are believed to have prepared an offer of £55 million for the services of the 24-year-old Germany international, but it remains to be seen if that amount proves large enough to persuade Chelsea to sell.

Havertz was previously linked with Real Madrid, but Los Blancos have apparently moved on to other targets.

Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella, and they’ve already prepared an offer for the consideration of the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Italy international is said to be happy at Inter, and the Magpies, or whoever else might come calling this summer, will have to put a serious effort into convincing him to leave the 2022/23 Champions League runners-up.
