Some of the vaunted batting lineup went for glory when steady was all that was needed. After Ngidi left Pakistan had a great chance, but half an inch on the leg stump saved Maharaj and he saw us home. Well done him!

Not too much to learn from this outing, but a really enjoyable game.

The Proteas will need more focus in the games ahead, perhaps this scare is just what we needed.
